# Junior bartender job scope:
- Drink Preparation: Assisting in the preparation and serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and soft drinks.
- Customer Service: Interacting with customers, taking orders, and providing recommendations on drinks and cocktails.
- Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar area clean and organized, including washing glassware, restocking supplies, and cleaning counter surfaces.
- Inventory Management: Assisting in inventory control by restocking supplies and helping to keep track of liquor and beverage levels.
- Knowledge of Mixology: Learning and understanding drink recipes, mixology techniques, and the various types of alcohol and mixers.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as local, state, and federal alcohol laws.
- Team Collaboration: Working alongside other bartenders and staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times.
- Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and handle any customer inquiries or issues.
- Process payment: Occasionally assisting with cash register operations and processing payments.
- In the bartending career path, progression usually starts from a junior bartender to a senior bartender, then advances to become a bar manager. Alternatively, you can transition to the floor as a floor manager responsible for coordinating events and bookings. Floor managers commonly advance to become venue managers.
