Position Overview

GoldPhield is looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong focus on identifying and driving opportunities in battery cells for electric vehicles (EV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a proven ability to navigate complex markets, establish strategic partnerships, and drive growth in the renewable energy and mobility sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically identify and develop opportunities to expand the company’s footprint in the Indian market, focusing on EV and BESS solutions.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify trends, challenges, and growth areas within the energy storage and electric mobility sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders such as HQ teams, OEMs, distributors, JV partners, and other industry players.
  • Work closely with technical teams to align product offerings with market needs and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the development of tailored proposals and negotiations to secure contracts and establish lasting partnerships.
  • Monitor performance metrics, provide market intelligence, and deliver actionable recommendations to guide strategic decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry gatherings, enhancing its visibility and building professional networks.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; knowledge of renewable energy, BESS, or EV markets is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of B2B business development or sales experience, preferably in the energy or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and manage complex sales cycles.
  • Results-oriented, with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region to meet business needs.
