Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to gain new IT operations experience as a Data Centre Engineer in the banking industry.
Mandatory Skill-set
- At least Diploma in Computer Science or IT;
- At least 1-2 year of experience in Data Centre Facility Management;
- Experience in Data Centre such as storage, servers;
- Experience working on 24*7 Mission Critical environment;
- Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedure;
- Good knowledge and experience in IP Network, switches, routers;
- Experience in rack and stack of IT equipment;
- Conversant in Microsoft Office Applications;
- Familiarity with structured cabling system and its related components;
- Proactive, responsible, good work attitude and a team player;
- Good interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
Desired Skill-set
- ITIL Certified;
- Work experience in banking industry.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing daily operations and administrative tasks within a data center environment;
- Coordinate with data center/building landlords to ensure efficient operation of electricity, HVAC systems, and monitoring environment within critical IT facilities at Mission Critical IT facilities in the Data Center;
- Promptly escalate incidents following standard incident procedures;
- Participate in equipment relocation, replacement, and removal activities;
- Conduct system maintenance and generate regular reports;
- Offer onsite supervision for all critical facility maintenance activities;
- Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary corrective or preventive actions;
- Perform any additional tasks assigned as needed.
