about the job

  • Lead the day to day operations of the business, including trade processing, settlement, corporate actions and custodian interaction
  • Performing cross-border settlements in Singapore and Asia markets across different business streams which includes Securities-based Lending (SBL), Proprietary, and Agency
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational processes, policies and procedures to ensure an efficient life cycle operational process
  • Manage exception queues, investigate and resolve outstanding settlement items
  • Ensure all valid trades are released to Custodians for settlement
  • Perform Trades Prematching
  • Liaise with internal and external clients which includes Traders, other Operations teams locally and globally, local custodians etc
  • Perform reconciliation of stock and cash accounts
  • Perform management reporting
  • Identify operational risks and efficient framework for settlements
  • Initiate, drive and manage change which will include participating in UAT and projects
  • Foster a collaborative environment which encourages sharing best practices, a problem-solving culture and improvement of processes

skills and experience required

  • Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 6 years of Equity Settlements or related Operational experience
  • Understanding of SBL business stream
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and possess good problem solving skills
  • Prior team management experience will be a plus
  • Possess a can do attitude and willing to be hands-on
  • Ability to drive changes and new initiatives
  • Work well independently as well as in a team environment
