Responsibilities:
- Technical review on new project orders and order assignments
- Submission of documents; Control Schematic Drawing, Assembly Drawing, Wiring Diagram etc.
- Review all project engineering documents before submitting them to client.
- Manage engineering change function and ensure engineering documents are updated accordingly.
- Provide advice and guidance to technical engineer & drafter team and to support other ops team on technical/engineering matters.
- Recommendations based on common industrial engineering practice, where necessary.
- Implement cost effective and engineering solutions for project to stay competitive.
- Provide engineering practice and engineering calculation where applicable
- Review project specifications i.e. ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
- Provide field support to resolve after-sales technical issues or technical clarifications.
- To attend internal/external kick off Meeting (KOM) when required.
- Travel with technicians to installation base & sites if needed.
- Lead the department’s improvement programs and updating SOP
- Annual performance review for staffs to ensure competency
- Support new employee orientation by providing brief training on process flow.
- Support and guide the Operations department in resolving aftermarket technical issues
- Develop and upkeep of staff technical competencies include the design, development of instructor guides, plan training, schedule and conduct training with the staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation or equivalent
- Min 6 years supervisory experience in Valve Automation and/or instrumentation background
- Knowledge in ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
- Possess a strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or drafting software & SAP is an added advantage.
