In this position as a Underwriter for the Financial Lines Business, you will be working alongside with the HOD and a sizable team to execute the underwriting strategy for Financial Lines business with focus on FI, Cyber, D&O and driving sustainable growth and profitability for the company.
The ideal incumbent will be required to underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets. You will be expected to negotiate participation, pricing, terms and conditions with brokers and maintain good relationships.
skills and experience required
- 4+ years of experience in Financial Lines underwriting - with focus on Financial Institution, Cyber & D&O
- Keen interest to mentor/coach junior underwriters and assistant underwriters
- Robust understanding of Financial Lines business
- Ability to assess risk inherent exposures
- Proven track record in underwriting profitable business
- Demonstrate established relationships with brokers
