In this position as an Underwriter, you will be expected to handle both bond and construction business and conduct analyses and proper risk selection. The ideal incumbent will be expected to underwrite and monitor accounts with producers and support the growth of existing project related business such as Engineering, Commercial and
Contract Bonds business.
skills and experience required
- 3+ years of experience as an Underwriter in commercial or personal lines business
- Candidates with Underwriting Assistant experience in Commercial Lines may apply
- Strong financial analysis/risk assessment skill
- Ability to gather and analyze pertinent financial information
- Excellent communication, negotiation, customer service and relationship building skills
- Strong business acumen to understand economic and business models and good understanding of local
- developments
