Our client, a leading Multinational American Technology company, is in search of a Regional Estimator. This role will evaluate costs for data centre projects to support the organization’s short- and long-term objectives.
- 6-12 Contract role - highly renewable!
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and predict costs related to our data center initiatives, contributing to both immediate and future business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams (including design engineering, construction, finance, scheduling, and cost control) to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project scope, timelines, and financial constraints.
- Create and manage specialized estimating databases and templates tailored for this position.
- Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on cost estimates, project financials, and underlying assumptions to convey clear, comprehensible information.
- Conduct various estimation types while prioritizing delivery schedules.
- Assist in refining estimating methodologies and practices for enhanced efficiency.
- Promote uniformity and coherence across the organization.
- Oversee all financial aspects related to active, upcoming, and past projects, providing updates through the Global Project Controls and Data Centre Construction Development headquarters consistently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline
- At Least 8-10 years’ experience in construction cost estimation for large-scale projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of the complete Construction Life Cycle.
- Proven background in Data Center construction initiatives.
- Expertise in executing a variety of estimation techniques, including parametric, bottoms-up, and high-level scenario analyses.
- Skilled in developing, monitoring, and communicating project scope, schedules, and budgets with a primary focus on cost implications.
- Capable of tailoring presentations of data to suit different audiences, maintaining a commitment to delivering high-quality, thoughtful estimates and reports.
- An effective collaborator and influencer across teams, able to establish trust with construction stakeholders.
- Robust international knowledge of construction commercial practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities extending beyond traditional estimating functions.
