RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IIE).
- Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Building
- Identify and organise collaborative initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to student leaders, faculty, investors, sponsors, corporate partners.
- Identify strategic opportunities for IIE and SMU and build relationships with key stakeholders and networks that support the acceleration of student innovation and cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-driven performance.
- Programme Development and Management
- Design and drive strategic review of curriculum for innovation & entrepreneurship education programmes.
- Manage programme timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure effective operations in compliance with university policies.
- Programme Impact and Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the programme(s) and its impact on the startup ecosystem.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the program.
- Oversee programme(s) reporting to stakeholders.
- Student Club Management
- Oversee and guide student club advisors and student leaders in the areas of club governance, workplans and finance to establish credible student-led clubs in SMU.
- Provide institutional support and cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset among student leaders and clubs through experiential activities & events.
- Financial Oversight and Fundraising
- Oversee the budget and financial management of the programme.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of programme-specific funds.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations and sponsorships.
- Marketing and Brand Strategy Development
- Drive the development of marketing strategies to elevate respective programme's profile and awareness within SMU, locally and regionally.
- Degree / Post Graduate Degree from a reputable university, in business, education or related disciplines.
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in designing and delivering quality experiential learning educational programmes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of budget, grant administration and financial management principles.
- Diligent and outcome-driven.
- A keen sense of ownership and accountability, acts with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable with minimal amount of direction, thrives in high pressure and high expectation situations.
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
- Up to date with industry trends in the innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system.
- Deep knowledge and network in the local & SE Asia innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem will be viewed favorably.
- Relevant experience as an educator or mentor to the youth is a plus.
