RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Centre for Global Education & Opportunities (GEO).
- Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner universities, recruitment agencies, and potential partners through consistent communication.
- Lead the annual placement projections and negotiation exercise with partner universities.
- Promote SMU's programmes to prospective students and overseas universities, both virtually and in person.
- Programme and Event Management
- Plan and execute events such as SMU's Study Abroad Fair, Orientation, Farewell Party and other student outreach and programme publicity initiatives.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to outbound SMU students and inbound international students throughout the programme. This includes managing the team's role-based mailbox and responding to programme-related inquiries.
- Conduct surveys to gather feedback, analyse results, and prepare reports on students' study abroad experiences, as well as their learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the daily operations of the exchange programmes, including onboarding, outreach, logistics, and billing.
- Work closely with other departments within SMU to ensure full compliance with academic policies and study abroad safety protocols.
- Special Projects
- Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements in operational processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead and manage various programme-related projects, assembling teams to successfully deliver on project goals.
- Diploma or degree holder, preferably with programme delivery and event planning/management experience.
- Strong knowledge of global education and experience in managing international student programmes and events.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in developing and running student programmes, focusing on recruitment and engagement.
- Excellent communication skills, confident in cross-cultural settings; Mandarin fluency is a plus.
- Sales-driven, with a focus on building relationships and growing programmes.
- Proactive, analytical, and adaptable, with problem-solving skills to address challenges.
- A team player, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently, with high accuracy.
- Tech-savvy, with strong IT and social media skills for programme promotion.
