- Ensure work activities comply with the Workplace Safety and Health act, related legislation and other relevant requirement
- Assist in planning, implementation and maintenance of SETSCO's OHS Management System in accordance witj SS iso 45001 and BizSAFE Star
- Assist with safety program implementation at the workplace towards safety culture development
- Oversee and lead the contractors in the implementation of Company's safety systems
- Liase closely with staff/Managers/Government Regulatory Authorities on all EHS Matters
- Conduct periodic safety inspection of workplace and review RIsk Assessments
- Carry out incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
- Inspect and rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at workplace
- Maintain and update safety related documentations / records
- Conduct Safety training and/or briefing to staff
- Assist to organise WSH campaign and safety related activities
- Assist to organise monthly Safety (WSH) Committee meeting (s)
- Participate in the preparation for Audit and follow up on the actions needed from the audit findings
- Assist Safety Management Representative / Registered WSH Officer on safety (WSH) matters
- Coordinate Implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans
- Take on any safety related and other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must possess relevant safety (WSH) certificate such as Advanced Certificate in WSH, or Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent
- Knowledge of SS iso45001 / BizSAFE Star preferred
- Works well under pressure with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Others or equivalent.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
