Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
Non-Working Days (Unpaid):
- Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
- Scheduled school holidays: Youth Day, Teachers’ Day, Chinese New Year Eve, National Day Eve, Teachers’ Day Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cookery Room / Kitchen Duties:
- Food & Ingredient Management:Assist in placing orders, receiving, and storing food supplies.
Manage perishable items, ensuring proper storage and tracking expiration dates.
- Preparation & Cleaning:Prepare ingredients before practical lessons.
Mop and clean kitchen floors daily to remove stains.
Clean sinks, window ledges, storage shelves, cupboards, and kitchen equipment.
Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils and crockery used by teachers.
Machine wash, dry, fold, and store dishcloths and tea towels.
- Safety & Maintenance:Ensure safety valves are switched to neutral at the end of the day.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of utensils, shelves, and storage cabinets.
2. Stock-Check & Inventory Duties:
- Replace broken glassware and manage kitchen equipment records.
- Maintain a stock-book and breakage record.
- Prepare an annual inventory list for the school’s stock-take exercise.
3. Operations Support Duties:
- Clean special rooms, cabinets, and shelves as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Assist with emergency logistics such as moving resources, tables, and chairs when needed.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration Manager and School Leaders.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Educational Requirements:Able to read and converse in simple English (equivalent to Primary 6 level).
- Work Experience:Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Kitchen Helper, OSO, Cleaner, or Hawker’s Assistant.
