Receptionist cum Printing Operator

Location: Ministry of Education / Unity Secondary School, 20 Choa Chu Kang Street 62, Singapore 689143

Contract Duration:

  • Initial Contract Period: 1 January 2025 – 31 December 2025
  • Option to Extend: 12 months at the discretion of the Authority, subject to written notice before the contract expiry.

Working Hours:

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break)
  • Fridays: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break)
  • Non-Working Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receptionist Duties:

  • Manage the General Office counter, handle phone calls, and assist walk-ins (students, staff, and stakeholders).
  • Attend to unwell or injured students in the sick bay.
  • Record the attendance of late-coming students.
  • During school holidays, assist with Financial Assistance Application forms by checking submitted documents, updating the staff mailbox, and maintaining the organization chart.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, data collation, and generating reports when required.
  • Support school events and activities, including refreshment preparation, photo-taking day, and awards ceremonies.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by school leaders or the Administration Manager.

2. Printing Operator Duties:

  • Process printing requests from school staff within three working days (excluding the request submission date).
  • Monitor and replenish consumables for printing machines.
  • Update job status and tabulate monthly printing statistics using machines supplied by the vendor.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of school printing machines through regular checks and operational support.
  • Perform additional tasks such as scanning, laminating, binding, and finishing printed materials.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: PSLE or equivalent certificate
  • Language Skills: Able to speak and read simple English
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate photocopiers, printers, and basic PC skills (email and Excel)

Preferred Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in a receptionist role

Personal Attributes:

  • Physically fit, meticulous, independent, efficient, and proactive
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player

Confidentiality Requirement:

  • The selected personnel must sign an undertaking to safeguard official information.
