Operations Support Officer(School)

Location: Anglo-Chinese School (Primary), 50 Barker Road, Singapore 309918

Contract Duration:

  • Initial Contract Period: 1 March 2025 – 28 February 2027
  • Option to Extend: 1-year extension from 1 March 2027 – 29 February 2028, subject to school discretion.

Working Hours:

  • Days: Monday to Friday (5-day workweek)
  • Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (including a 1-hour lunch break)
  • Non-Working Days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilities Maintenance:
  • Ensure cleanliness of school premises, including meeting rooms, offices, staff rooms, and classrooms.
  • Perform tasks such as floor sweeping, mopping, rubbish disposal, and cleaning tables and chairs.
  1. Equipment Maintenance:
  • Operate and maintain school equipment, including air purifiers, standing fans, and fire extinguishers.
  1. Logistics Support:
  • Provide and prepare logistics arrangements for school events and activities.
  • Carry, move, and arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
  1. Administrative Support:
  • Perform simple administrative tasks, such as distributing items to classrooms and staff rooms.
  1. Contractor Escorting:
  • Escort external contractors performing maintenance tasks such as pest control, aircon servicing, building repairs, and electrical work.
  1. Facilities Maintenance Assistance:
  • Receive damage or fault reports from teachers.
  • Coordinate with technical staff and monitor repair progress.
  • Ensure safety measures are in place during maintenance work.
  1. Operational Support:
  • Assist in day-to-day school operations as directed by the School Operations Manager and school leadership team.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  1. Educational Background:
  • Primary school education or equivalent.
  1. Relevant Experience:
  • Experience in logistics, facilities maintenance, or a similar role is advantageous.
  1. Personal Attributes:
  • Reliable, dynamic, and motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  1. Physical Fitness & Background:
  • Good level of fitness with no chronic medical conditions.
    Clear criminal record.
