Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of multiple cross-functional IT infrastructure projects. Leads cross-functional teams, collaborate with business users, internal and external teams, and vendors to ensure project is successfully completed on time, within budget & scope, and with quality.
They must have good communication skills, is a competent negotiator, demonstrates resiliency, good at problem solving and can engage & influence effectively both the internal and external stakeholders. He/she is adaptable to change in an agile and volatile environment while taking ownership and deliver works with integrity. This is a 2-year direct contract position.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive project to meet schedule, budget, manpower and technical quality targets
- Develop integrated project plan including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
- Ensure accurate allocation of resources throughout the project, providing leadership to cross-functional teams
- Work with stakeholders to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables
- Conduct regular project reviews to recommend schedule, cost, or resource adjustments
- Provides regular progress update to key stakeholders and management, communicate risks, escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outcomes.
- Conduct project evaluations and assess outcomes
- Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Track project performance using appropriate techniques and metrics
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards
- Analyse and validate design with technical teams to ensure the solution is implementable.
- Conduct impact assessments to understand the effect of transitions (i.e., due to new infrastructure technologies) on various parts of the organization
- Conduct post-project/transition evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Assess new infrastructure technologies (i.e., participate in proof of concept) to assist in defining technology roadmap, framework, and policies to meet strategic business initiatives
- Review data centre/ private cloud infrastructure, platform, and technology roadmap
- Document project learnings and best practices
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately, timely, and stored appropriately
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Minimum of 5-10 years above of experience in project management
- Experience in managing complex IT infrastructure projects
- Able to select approriate tools and platforms, solution design and infrastructure planning
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred
- Strong technical knowledge on at least 2 of the following domains: System (i.e., VMware, Nutanix), Storage (i.e., Hitachi, Pure), Network (i.e., Cisco), Security (i.e., Check Point, Palo Alto), Automation (e.g., Ansible), Backup (i.e., Symantec NetBackup). Certifications in the above areas would be preferred
