Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain OpenShift platforms across Baremetal, Virtualized, and Public Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and modernizing legacy applications using microservices architectures. This role involves leading technical initiatives, collaborating with DevOps teams, and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Management:
Design, implement, and maintain robust OpenShift platforms on Baremetal, Virtualized, and Public Cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards. - Application Modernization:
Lead the transformation of legacy applications into microservices architectures using OpenShift for improved scalability, reliability, and efficiency. - CI/CD & Automation:
Collaborate with DevOps teams to refine CI/CD pipelines, automation practices, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies using tools like GitOps. - Deployment & Scaling:
Ensure seamless deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. - Mentorship & Best Practices:
Mentor team members by sharing technical expertise, promoting best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience:
7-8 years of hands-on experience in OpenShift architecture, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications into microservices architectures.
Experience working within the financial services industry and adhering to industry-specific regulations. - Technical Skills:
Expertise in OpenShift components and features, including ACM, ACS, Quay, and ODF.
Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
Experience with GitOps workflows and infrastructure management tools. - Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certifications:
OpenShift or Kubernetes certification. - Additional Tools:
Familiarity with Istio or other service mesh technologies.
