Our client is a Manufacturing MNC. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a to be part of their Procurement Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the East - easily accessible.
Duties of Buyer:
- Analyze sales and purchasing data to identify market trends and support decision-making.
- Conduct cost analysis to assess total costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and value-added services for projects.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service to manage subcontractors and place orders.
- Maintain material master data, including creating part numbers and Bill of Materials (BoM) items.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure optimal deals.
- Monitor and adjust order schedules to meet delivery requirements.
- Address product quality issues, short-shipment claims, and replacements with suppliers.
- Plan and propose buffer stocks to meet project demands and ensure supply consistency.
- Perform demand planning and forecasting for projects and recurring business.
- Identify and implement process improvements within procurement operations.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in related field
- Relevant experience
- Well versed with SAP
