Responsibilities:
Logistics Project Planning and Implementation Management
- Recommend the appropriate logistics automation solutions that align with customer requirements, aiming to achieve quality objectives, service standards, and inventory accuracy.
- Execute the implementation plan, including sourcing, proposal development, feasibility testing, technical specification assessments, purchasing automated warehouse equipment, and setting up the new warehouse.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Systems Integration Engineer to develop an automation technology database to monitor capacity, costs, and system connectivity.
- Plan and manage the complete project lifecycle, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide user training for key users to ensure successful adoption of the new systems.
Enhancement of Logistics Automation Process
- Establish KPIs and evaluate the performance of the applied automation equipment to determine achievement rates.
- Identify process exceptions, develop recommendations, and implement process improvements.
- Monitor and report operational performance, including work efficiency, ROI analysis, and productivity, to management.
Logistics Automation Consultation
- Explore new automation technologies (software and hardware) and stay updated on the latest market trends to develop relevant strategies.
- Conduct operational simulations to enhance capacity by implementing optimal automation solutions for customers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders i.e external suppliers/ technology consultants/ equipment suppliers.
- Support Regional Head Quarter with any other Logistics Automation Optimization assignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, supply chain and logistics management or related technical engineering field.
- Minimum 8+ years of related working experience in Global Logistics Company (Minimum 6+ years' experience is required for Master degree holder).
- Work experience in Global Freight Forwarding with experience in setting up automation solutions in in a logistics environment and relevant role (design warehouse automation equipment such as ASRS, AGV, DPS, DAS, etc. and setup warehouse) is a must.
- Deep understanding of Global Logistics Automation, WMS/WCS.
- Proficient in Logistics Automation Simulation.
- Able to select Optimal option and application for automation equipment.
- Good in warehouse automation layout design by using tools such as Autocad, Sketchup, CAD.
- Experience in end to end project management.
- Experience in developing and applying New technology for Logistics Automation
- Logistics Center Operation experience.
- Experience in leading projects by simulating using Automode, Flexsim, Arena.
- Experience in carrying out optimization part (Operation Research) Projects.
