Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical stock take and inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
- Process material requisitions to ensure timely supply of packaging materials.
- Utilise the JOT system to track and manage inventory and shipping processes.
- Confirm actual packing results after production closure to reconcile inventory and shipping records.
- Identify, labelling and keep materials in stock, recording location of inventory and reporting shortages.
- Locate materials/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Keep inventory and loading/unloading areas clean.
- Open containers, sort and catalogue materials.
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Work with internal to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
- Pick and pack finished goods according to the specified packing order (SPO) list.
- Assist packing finished goods for shipment, ensuring adherence to packing standards.
- Utilise packaging materials like bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard to safeguard products
- Seal and label packages accurately, including affixing shipping labels and customs documentation.
- Upload and download pallets of finished goods to and from racks using material handling equipment.
- Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Ensure orders and distribution of products from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed and staging finished product final distribution.
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and materials storage area.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centres by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Operates forklift and pallet jack or signal machine operator to move materials onto and off trucks.
Requirements:
- ITE in any discipline.
- Experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Prefererably in packing or material handling role is a plus.
