Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Resident Engineer with a strong background in OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year managing and optimizing OpenShift environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining OpenShift platforms, ensuring the high availability, scalability, and security of containerized applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- OpenShift Platform Management:
Design, deploy, and maintain OpenShift environments in line with industry standards and business objectives. - Troubleshooting & Support:
Diagnose and resolve platform issues while ensuring minimal downtime. - Collaboration & Optimization:
Work closely with development and operations teams to enhance containerized application performance. - CI/CD Implementation:
Develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. - Security & Compliance:
Ensure platform security, compliance, and best practices are followed. - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of platform configurations, processes, and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience:
Minimum of 3-4 years working with OpenShift Container Platform.
At least 1 year managing OpenShift environments. - Technical Skills:
Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Certifications:
OpenShift certification or other related credentials. - Cloud & Automation Tools:
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
