Position Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Scientist/Scientist I to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical biology and thrive in an interdisciplinary research environment. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on the design, synthesis, and application of small molecule probes for target engagement studies aimed at understanding disease mechanisms and advancing drug discovery.


Job Description


  • Plan and execute research experiments under supervision and communicate results and conclusions in group meetings.
  • Contribute to ongoing research and development projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate lab notebooks to document research findings.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of lab equipment, laboratory supplies, and maintain good housekeeping standards.

Job Qualifications

  • A BSc in Chemical Biology is preferred. Applicants with a BSc in Chemistry, Biology, or related disciplines with relevant skill sets may also be considered.

Job Requirements


  • Chemistry lab skills: Proficient in the synthesis and purification of compounds (using flash column chromatography, preparative HPLC), and compound characterization techniques (LCMS, HPLC, NMR).
  • Biology lab skills: Proficient in cell culture, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, pulldown and co-immunoprecipitation assays.
  • Chemical Biology lab skills: Experience with Activity-Based Protein Profiling (ABPP), Affinity-Based Protein Profiling (AfBP), and chemoproteomics is a plus.
  • Candidates without prior experience but with a strong desire and commitment to learn are also encouraged to apply.
  • Passion for interdisciplinary research.
  • A committed, self-motivated individual with a desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented with a collaborative spirit and the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
