Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will be expected to perform independently and become an SME, actively participate in team discussions, and contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Extract Transform & Load (ETL) Tools is required. Application Remediation, Data Replication & Synchronization, Engineering Support, and IT
- Troubleshooting are recommended skills with Beginner proficiency in Application Remediation, Data Replication & Synchronization, Engineering Support, and IT Troubleshooting.
- Develop innovative strategies to improve application support processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide technical guidance and support to end-users
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance application support services"
- Engage product owners to groom user stories
- Profile, cleanse and classify data
- Design and develop data pipeline that ingest data from various sources.
Requirements
• Diploma or greater in Computer Science or related areas or equivalent practical experience
• Hand-on experience working on RDBMS, such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL or PostgreSQL
• Database Design and Data Modelling (Logical and Physical)
• Experience in using ETL tools such as SAS DI, Informatica or Talend
• Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka and Spark is a plus
• Experience with data visualisation such as Qlik, Tableau or Power BI is a plus
• Self-motivated and driven learner who is willing to share knowledge with the team
