Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Trade Finance Operations in managing all aspects of trade finance operations, including import/export letters of credit, bank guarantees, and correspondent banking.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise, mentor, and train the trade finance operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Collaborate with other departments, including credit risk, compliance, and sales, to support trade finance product development and client service.
- Monitor and analyze operation metrics, preparing reports for senior management on performance and strategic opportunities.
- Address complex client inquiries and resolve issues related to trade finance transactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CILT, CTP) preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in trade finance operations, with 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of trade finance products, regulations, and market trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
