Responsibilities:
- Assist in minor surgical procedures under the supervision of the medical team.
- Dispense medication as prescribed by the doctor.
- Administer eye drops to patients as needed.
- File and maintain accurate patient case notes.
- Ensure the clinic is clean and organized at all times.
- Check and manage the stock of medicines, ensuring availability and proper storage.
- Perform basic visual tests, including autorefraction and pressure measurements.
- Conduct retinal photography and OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) scan acquisition.
- Administer and perform visual field tests.
- Carry out biometry tests for accurate measurements.
- Coordinate and book operating theatres for surgical procedures.
- Handle patient payments and ensure proper collection of fees.
- Close and reconcile daily accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements:
- Fully registered with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Previous experience in ophthalmic or surgical nursing will be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and the healthcare team professionally and empathetically.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and compassion are essential to delivering high-quality patient care.
