Roles & Responsibilities
- Review the quality manuals, inspection & test plans
- Review fabrication and erection procedures
- Review of welding procedure specification, procedure qualification records, welder and welding operator qualification records
- Pre-inspection meeting and audit of fabricator facilities/plants
- Review of material test certificates/records, verify or inspect materials and witness pre-treatment processes
- Witness the mechanical test conducted by accredited laboratory
- Witness cutting/edge joint preparations, verify joint geometry and inspect fit-out condition prior to welding
- Verify that welding processes are carried out in accordance with the approved welding procedures, codes/standards and relevant documents
- Perform visual inspection and verify dimensional records
- Select weld joints for testing & witness non-destructive testing and assess all results
- Witness blasting and galvanising processes
- Inspect painting and galvanising works
- Identify & verify completed structural members and witness the handling of these members onto lorry/truck for delivery to site
- Inspect delivered structural members for damage due to handling and transportation
- Inspect the assembly of structural members at erection site prior to welding
- Verify all welding procedures and welder qualification records on erection site
- Witness procedure trial of stud welding process
- Inspect all weld & bolt tightening
- Select weld for testing and witness the erection site NDT
- Inspect all remaining site painting and witness repairing of all protective treatment works
- Perform inspection on piping and equipment at refineries and chemical plant
- Conduct welding procedure qualification test and welder performance test
- Perform corrosion inspection on steel structures, piping and plant equipment
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum NDT Level II Certificates (PT / UT / MT / RT)
- Minimum. 1-2 years of relevant experiences in Oil and Gas plant
- Minimum API 510 Certified Pressure Vessel Inspector
- Minimum API 570 Certified Piping Inspector
- Minimum CSWIP – 3.2.2 Senior welding Inspector
- Minimum BGAS – Grade 2 – Painting Inspector
- Minimum ASNT Radiographic Testing/ Ultrasonic Testing/ Liquid Penetrant Testing/ Magnetic Particle Testing – Level 2
- Good interpersonnel skills and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
