- Operate and monitor the chemical production activities in the plant and ensuring that the product is manufactured within set production schedule and to the required standards of quality and cost effective manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolves technical problem when necessary.
- Operate valves and pumps to admit or drain specified amounts of materials, impurities, or treating agents to or from equipment
- Flush or clean equipment, using steam hose or mechanical reamer
- Draw samples of product and sends to laboratory for analysis
- Perform general clean up and maintain good housekeeping in order to keep working areas clean, organized, and safe
- Patrol and inspect equipment or unit to detect leaks and malfunctions
- Weigh or measure specified amounts of materials
- Read, comprehend, and follow written and oral instructions, safety rules, operating procedures and product recipes
- Load and unload tank trucks and drums containing hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Perform incidental maintenance as required to troubleshoot processes and to keep processes running properly
- Lock out processing equipment to make sure maintenance can safely repair processing equipment
- Be an active Emergency Response Team member
