Job Description

The NUS Global Asia Institute (GAI) seeks a full-time Research Assistant/Associate to support faculty and researchers in carrying out projects related to business resilience, economic adaptation, and corporate history. The role focuses on the study of firms navigating adverse environments, as outlined in our forthcoming research project on business resilience across diverse industries and geographies.

We are looking for someone with exceptional writing and research skills, an innovative mindset, and the ability to work independently. The candidate will collaborate closely with world-class faculty and post-doc researchers, contributing to the development of case studies and actionable frameworks. This position offers hands-on experience in academic research, project management, and business writing, providing valuable exposure to historical and contemporary corporate strategies.

Salary benefits will be commensurate with skillset, experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
  • Academic background in the social sciences or business-related fields.
  • Strong interest in business writing and case writing.
  • Highly organized, meticulous and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in programming languages (such as R and Stata) will be an advantage.
