RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership to systems related projects, performing end-to-end project management to coordinate all the required activities with all the relevant stakeholders such as the business users, subject matter experts, Business Technology Solutions, MSIG Asia IT and/or IT vendors to completion and implementation.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Lead project teams, providing guidance, direction, and motivation to ensure project success
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather project requirements, define objectives, and scope projects appropriately
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial status to stakeholders
  • Identify potential risks and proactively implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct regular project updates to keep senor management team and/or project steering committee informed as well as to communicate and obtain approvals from them where necessary
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in IT project management and insurance
  • Undertake any other project duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) preferred
OTHER INFORMATION
  • Project Management (10 years) as IT Project Manager in the insurance industry successfully delivering complex projects
  • Solid experience on project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Vendors and user management experience
  • Knowledge of systems and insurance business
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, processes, regulations, and industry-specific challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
  • Change management
