Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming deliveries, inspect for damage or discrepancies and report where necessary.
- Organize and store products efficiently, ensuring proper labelling, stock rotation, and space utilization.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overstocking to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Participate in regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Order Processing and Packing in accurate fulfilment and timely manner to support production.
- schedules and customer demands.
- Prepare goods for shipment, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation (e.g., packing, lists, shipping labels).
- Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE and safe handling of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and facilitate smooth operations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Suggest and implement improvements to warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Any other ad-hoc task assigned.
Job Requirement
- GCE 'N' or 'O' level and above.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery (certification is a bonus).
