Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and update hospital-wide risk management protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and operational continuity.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive crisis response plans, ensuring all staff know their roles during emergencies (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, cyberattacks).
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with hospital operations, including patient care, data security, and facility management.
  • Oversee the investigation and documentation of incidents, adverse events, and near-misses. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct regular training programs and emergency preparedness drills to ensure readiness in handling crises and risks effectively.
  • Ensure hospital practices meet local and national regulatory standards related to risk and crisis management.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to minimize risks associated with patient care and hospital operations.
  • Prepare reports on risk assessments, crisis outcomes, and incident responses for hospital leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop strategies for ongoing risk reduction and foster a culture of safety and proactive risk management.
  • Act as a liaison during crises, ensuring clear communication between hospital staff, patients, families, and external agencies.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor in any discipline with at least 4-8 years of relevant working experience
  • Preferably in industry like healthcare, public setting, large capacity environment / operations
  • Strong technical skills of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat to prepare, edit and manipulate text and data. Tech-savvy-- ability to learn new software and other relevant programs,
  • Influential and able to inspire and persuade others across all levels of the organization, driving consensus and buy in,
  • Possess strong analytical, communication, persuasion, influencing, written and presentation skill
  • Ability to take and record accurate notes/minutes in complex meetings,
  • Ability to work independently and in a team and across teams with minimal supervision
