- Design and synthesize debonding on demand polymers with unique, stimuliresponsive properties.
- Characterize the developed polymers, ensuring their effectiveness and viability in advanced adhesive technologies.
- Apply extensive experience in literature and patent search, ideally as an inventor, to contribute to the company's intellectual property (IP) portfolio and innovation strategy.
- Lead a cross-functional team of scientists, fostering innovation and collaboration to drive progress in DoD polymer research.
- Collaborate with external R&D partners, exploring open innovation opportunities to accelerate technological advancement.
Requirements
- Strong background in Project Management with a solid understanding of material science, particularly in polymer chemistry and processing technologies.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, lead interdisciplinary teams, and align research activities with business goals.
- Expertise in coordinating the development of materials with debonding on demand (DoD) functionalities and ensuring their commercial viability.
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in managing scientists and technology developers in a research and development setting.
- Experience in collaboration with external R&D partners and driving open innovation initiatives.
- PhD or Master’s in Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, or related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in project management and leadership roles in material development.
