Job Description
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Mandar Chitre on the research on medium access control (MAC) under space-time coupling mesh-connected networks.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of medium access control (MAC) in mesh-connected underwater acoustic networks (UANs), focusing on space-time coupling characteristics.
- Investigate the impact of space-time coupling on MAC performance, including access capacity and network efficiency, in mesh-connected UANs.
- Design and optimize topology-shaping techniques for mesh-connected UANs to enhance network performance.
- Simulate and test the proposed algorithms and network designs to evaluate their effectiveness in improving access capacity and reducing interference.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to align research findings with practical applications in underwater resource development.
Qualifications
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a Related Field, with a focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Wireless Communications
- Underwater Acoustic Communications
- Network Protocols and Medium Access Control (MAC)
- Signal Processing
