Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Actuarial Science, Accountancy, Finance or Marketing;
- At least 7 years of working experience in product development, marketing or actuarial within financial services;
- Possess excellent understanding of life insurance products such as but not limited to term-life, whole-life, universal-life and variable-life insurance;
- Good experience in Life and Health product development, product pricing, exposure to proposition development and project implementation;
- Experience in new market development, managing industry and go to market strategies in new technology deployment;
- Strong multitasking abilities, quick adaptability to develop executable plans in bringing projects from conception to launch, driving implementation to success;
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- Self-driven, resourceful and result oriented.
Desired Skill-set
- Certifications in CMFAS and/or LOMA;
- Insurance certifications such as BCP, PGI, HI and ComGI.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, plan, and manage product development and involve in the end-to-end activities for new products;
- Conduct customer research and competitive analysis to deliver the best product proposition;
- Collaborate with other departments such as Actuarial, Implementation and Pricing team to strategize;
- Conduct product risk assessment and share with the management on the best risk management practices;
- Prepare Product Specification (FactSheet), Product Summary cum Presentation and Policy Contract;
- Work with Business Heads for product approval documentation and business casing within the stipulated timeline;
- Responsible on the communication and drafting of product launch announcements include marketing initiatives, work with agencies and bancassurance to achieve the channel's KPIs;
- Responsible on post product launch monitoring, synthesize customer feedback, findings from user research and other market insights and distill them into the roadmaps and feature lists;
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
