We are looking for a a research associate position to advance the understanding of chirality in hybrid organic-inorganic materials using cutting-edge Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) techniques. The role will focus on investigate the mechanisms of chirality transfer, characterize chiral structures, and explore their functional properties to develop next-generation materials for optoelectronics and spintronics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chirality Transfer Mechanisms
Study how chiral organic ligands influence the structural and electronic properties of hybrid frameworks. - Material Synthesis and Preparation
Develop solution-based methods for synthesizing chiral hybrid structures.
Investigate material-based chirality transfer mechanisms, such as mesoporous silica templating. - TEM Characterization
Perform high-resolution TEM and selected area electron diffraction (SAED) to elucidate atomic structures and symmetry.
Conduct energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) for compositional analysis. - Collaboration and Dissemination
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Job Requirements:
- Masters in Material Science Engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant experiences in TEM / technical hands-on experience in operating electron microscopes
- Familiarity with wet lab skills, electron microscopy and sample prep
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Competent in soft skills / information visualization, interaction design
- Interpersonal skills
