Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:Conduct regular stock checks in the warehouse to maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts.
Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize holding costs.
- Import/Export Logistics:Liaise with 3PL companies to coordinate the import and export of goods.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation for customs clearance.
Track shipments and ensure timely delivery.
- Shipping Arrangements:Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., Sales, Production, Procurement) to plan and coordinate shipping arrangements.
Negotiate freight rates with carriers and select the most cost-effective shipping options.
Oversee the loading and unloading of goods.
- Logistics Process Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies in logistics.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum [Number] years of experience in a logistics role.
- Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
