Computational Systems Biology deals with mathematical formulation adopted on a computational platform to analyse experimental biological datasets. Here, the candidate with work with multidisciplinary team members to develop a computational model of a microbial system under variable experimental conditions.
The highly motivated and experienced candidate will drive a project in optimizing sustainable food production through a microbial chasis. The candidate will have an opportunity to learn and innovate on deep learning -based flux analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Set up computational pipeline, code in python, and conduct relevant bioinformatics analysis
- Communicate progress, research findings, and implications to stakeholders
- Draft documentation, manuscripts, and slides
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master in Bioinformatics, Computer Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Experience in preprocessing and analyzing RNASeq and/or meta-transcriptomics data
- Coding or scripting experience in any language
- Be a self-starter, detailed orientated, and with a growth mindset
- Proficient in python programming and the usage of its interactive notebook
- Have experience in applying flux balance analysis
- Have interest in, or a basic understanding of microbial biology
- Have an interest in post-graduate studies
