Job Summary
You will be working with our client in the financial services industry where you will be facilitating and guiding the scrum team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework. You will be part of an agile team responsible for products used by the client.
Responsibilites
Team Coaching
- Responsible for managing scope and timeline of projects
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand‐ups
- Ensure squad members have accurate understanding on user stories and acceptance criteria
- Foster self‐organization, promote continuous improvement as a core value, inspiring the team to strive for excellence
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
- Help teams implement changes effectively
- Provide guidance to team members in Agile practices
Project Delivery
- Lead solutioning effort and help define end‐to‐end solutions to meet the desired business objectives
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
- Elicit and manage the stakeholder’s business requirements and translate them into detailed requirements documents, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
- Collaborate with Quality Engineer to develop test plans and review of test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage based on the business requirements
- Understand, manage and mitigate risks to project delivery, data security, and cybersecurity posture
Experiences
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
- Min 3 years of prior experience as a Scrum Master
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Scrum master certification will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
- Strong experience in managing business, IT and senior stakeholders
- Ability to solve complex problems and resolve conflicts
- Sound understanding of the technical aspects of Systems integration in an environment with diverse technologies
- In‐depth understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies, and technological systems
- Self‐driven, creative and team‐oriented person with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and leadership skills and ability to influence to gain consensus from multiple stakeholders when required
- Working experience in using project management software to track, monitor, and reporting of project progress and producing reports;
- Proven record in managing external contractors and monitoring and reporting progress
- Familiarity with software development
