Main responsibilities
- Resolve incidents impacting users swiftly and efficiently. Thorough investigation and communication throughout the incident lifecycle. Proactive identification of workarounds. Effective coordination of stakeholders during significant incidents. Clear and timely communication to users, senior management, and other IT stakeholders.
- Handle user requests promptly and effectively. Prioritizing requests based on urgency and impact. Escalating requests when necessary while remaining the primary point of contact for the user.
- Drive sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues. Identifying root causes of incidents and defining remediation actions. Proposing solutions such as feature development, automation, or online help updates for recurring requests.
- Serve as the primary communication channel between IT and stakeholders
- Follow CMI Run processes, standards, and recommendations provided by the Run Control Tower, actively contributing to their improvement.
- Write and maintain programmable code outlined in technical instructions and specifications for software applications and operating systems.
Incidents and Requests and Incidents management (business users and others IT teams)
- Provide level 1 and 2 application support to the business users (E.g. back and middle office users…)
- Analyze and manage functional and technical incidents/problems/requests coming
Application monitoring and deployment responsibilities
- Define and implement in coordination with the build team the needed application monitoring
- Supervise and monitor daily and monthly chains and handle user request by working closely with project, infrastructure and production teams
- Contribute to software releases and other planned activities (E.g. DRP…) to ensure good health and expected behavior of the applications
Problem management and continuous improvement
- Prepare and maintain knowledge base for each of the application in the scope of the team in coordination with the build team and the ops team
- Collaborate with build team to assess the priority of the problem and follow-up the resolution, even contributing to the definition of long-term solution.
- Provide non-functional requirement to the build team to implement monitoring as code whenever available.
Job Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Java, PL/SQL & Linux.
- Good knowledge in Linux / Unix platform and database management systems( SQL, Oracle, Sybase, BigData…..), PL/SQL, Middleware (E.g. MQ Series), File Transfer (E.g. CFT) and batch/Job Scheduling (Autosys/Control-M).
- Experience with automation frameworks and libraries.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell script, PowerShell, SQL…)
- Valuable exposure to tools & technologies like Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, Gitlab, MQ Series
- Experience in DevOps tooling (GIT, Maven/Graven/Nuget/Ansible, Jenkins…)
- Experience with Docker/Kurbernetes
- ITRS Geneos monitoring
- Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems, ideally within the dynamic landscape of Market Risk/Front Office operations with a commendable grasp of financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF etc.)
- Any Object-oriented language: Java
- Domain-Driven design and Microservices: springboot
- Exposure to Capital Markets applications
- Candidates should have ITIL certification
- Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (E.g. IRD, Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit…)
- Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Kondor+, Summit, Murex…) and ideally Summit
- Proficient in software development life cycle and Devops concepts
- Willing to support release activity during weekend.
