You will be part of a dynamic team with dual responsibility to:
a) support the planning, coordination and development of enterprise-facing programmes or initiatives within the Enterprise Development Group (EDG); and
b) champion job redesign (JR) as a key enabler for workforce transformation.
This includes:
a) Aligning our enterprise-facing programmes or initiatives with EDG’s strategies
b) Analysing policy issues and providing evidence-based or data driven recommendations to programmes managed by EDG
c) Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve programme outcomes
d) Developing high-impact strategies to encourage JR adoption
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Plan, coordinate and develop enterprise-facing initiatives in line with WSG’s priorities (e.g. workforce transformation, skills-first approach for hiring and workforce development).
- Policy and Programme Analysis: Analyse policy issues, engage with stakeholders to gather inputs, assess current gaps and provide recommendations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. WSG’s industry divisions) and external stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of Manpower, Programme Partners) to co-develop and implement enterprise-facing programmes initiatives.
- Strong Analytical and Good Problem-Solving: Develop a good understanding of JR and its benefits and develop high-impact strategies to drive sectoral JR adoption. Analyse business needs of enterprises, identifying possible gaps and opportunities, and shaping robust JR interventions to help enterprises achieve workforce and enterprise transformation priorities.
- Partners Engagement and Project Management: Work closely with our partners and augment the JR Centre of Excellence1 to co-create strategies and seize opportunities to promulgate both broad-based and sector-relevant JR capabilities and resources.
- Programme Management: Oversee the administration of grants such as Support for Productivity Solutions Grant – Job Redesign (PSG-JR) to appointed programme partners. This includes working closely with our partners on the regular tracking of programme outcomes, conducting programme reviews, and guiding them on policy compliance and grant governance matters.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse programme performance using key performance metrics and use data for decision-making. Interprets trends and patterns to develop insights and action plans.
- Strong writing and communication skills: To be able to actively participate in discussions with stakeholders, and translate perspectives into sound recommendations (in both writing and presentations) for management’s consideration.
Requirements
- Equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge
- Prior work experience in the public sector would be an advantage
- Awareness of government efforts relating to manpower, workforce or human capital interventions would be advantageous
