Main responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Write detailed specifications and user stories in-line with the list of requirements provided by business lines
- Liaise with business counterparts for clarification and understanding of requirements
- Analyze functional impacts and take into account technical constraints advised by technical lead
- Collaborate and work closely with the developers to implement the requirements
- Organize PSS workshops with developers, tech leads and architects for issues
Software Testing
- define tests strategy, and document test plan and test cases in coordination with project manager and business
- Conduct continuous testing in development environment to validate development changes
Application Support
- Provide UAT support
- Carry out analysis and investigations by verifying data on the database or GUI
- Analyze and solve functional problems in coordination with developers
Project Management
- Manage agile backlogs, facilitate sprint ceremonies and presentations with project partners
- Conduct weekly meetings with the project team and stakeholders in Singapore and offshore
- Prepare weekly KPI reports to management and team lead
- Maintain and track the velocity of the team using JIRA reporting tools
- Reinforce release management including preparing release note and roadmap for applications
Qualifications and Profile
- Minimum 6 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst preferably in Finance & Investment Banking domain, working on requirements gathering, solution planning, testing and documentations
- Proven experience in testing (writing, executing and monitoring test) particularly in managing of end-to-end testing for application releases
- Good knowledge of all phases of IT software development life cycle
- Capable to work independently and maintain active coordination with both business and IT counterparts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to answer to business needs
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive and result-oriented
- Has strong sense of responsibility and commitment
- Collaborative team player and is willing to share knowledge
- Experienced with working in an agile team
- Certified with agile CSM / PSM or PMP is a plus
- Relevant degree in computer major or engineering major
Functional
- Knowledge in banking domain, retail and corporate banking concepts, financial risk management, and Accounting knowledge.
- Knowledge in Loans management will be desired
- Highly skilled in preparing reports and analytics using tools such as PowerBI, VB macro, excel and MS project
- Highly skilled in participating in product/workflow design using MS Visio
Technical
- Experience with backlog management tools such as Jira
- Advanced knowledge and practical usage of SQL, troubleshooting and optimizing stored procedures/functions
- Knowledge in CI/CD platforms such as Github or GitLab
- Exposure to API development is a plus, including writing test cases for API and execute with testing tools such as Swagger or Postman
- Knowledge and understanding of programming language such as Java, C#, C++ and PowerShell is helpful
- Experienced with Colibra data management and usage of Metabase is desired
- Knowledge on JSON and AVRO format is a plus
- Knowledge on SPARK and BigData is a plus
