About our client: Our client is a leading global engineering, procurement, construction & management company, delivering large-scale high-tech, and industrial building projects.
About the role:
- Oversee the entire design process from conceptualization through to implementation and final handover.
- Ensure all designs comply with local authority codes and regulations.
- Integrate sustainability targets into the design to meet environmental and energy efficiency goals.
- Prepare tender documentation, including project specifications and contract schedules such as Summary of Tender and Schedule of Rates.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Work Package Owner (WPO), managing the progress of design packages to completion with the support of the supervisor and QAQC team, and ensuring final handover documentation is in order.
- Manage the design process in alignment with the Design Checklist to maintain consistency and quality.
- Lead subcontractor progress meetings, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
- Chair weekly client meetings with the Architectural Department to provide project updates and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Quality Compliance engineers to ensure alignment between supervision goals and specification requirements.
- Assume the role and responsibilities of the Lead Architect in their absence, overseeing the project's architectural needs.
- Mentor junior architects, focusing on developing their skills to support the company's growth and ensure a well-trained workforce.
- Ensure the Architectural System Supervisor receives the current approved plans, shop drawings, and detailed briefings on the awarded scope of work, tender documents, and any revisions.
- Promote safe working practices to safeguard the health and well-being of employees, subcontractors, and customers.
- Execute work tasks professionally and responsibly while protecting the company's interests.
- Maintain a clear understanding of your scope of work and Exyte's obligations to the client.
- Participate in all phases of the project, from pricing and design to construction, commissioning, and final acceptance.
- Contribute to Operational Excellence by promoting initiatives such as the Knowledge Centre, Digitalization Tools, Lessons Learned System, Sustainability efforts, and other operational improvements.
- Take on ad hoc duties as determined by management.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, preferably from a university accredited by BOA.
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Hons).
- Preferred certifications include Autodesk Revit, BCA Green Mark Manager, BCA Universal Design Assessor, LEED-AP, WELLS-AP, Design for Safety, etc.
- 7-8 years of professional architectural experience, with at least 2 years in fast-track projects.
- Experience in designing and constructing architectural services systems, especially within fast-track projects for industries like Semiconductor, Sustainable Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, Healthcare, or Biotech.
- At least three years of international experience in a high-tech industry or other multi-disciplinary construction environment.
- Minimum two years of experience in a leading architectural position on a fast-track project, including one year of managing multi-discipline projects.
- At least two years of experience managing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and staff development.
- Experience in implementing internal change strategies.
- Proven expertise in strategic and operational planning and execution.
