Automation SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) Engineer

Critical Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Participate in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Capital Projects as automation representation for installation and expansion of new SIS Systems. Ensuring compliance to industry standards like IEC61511 and IEC61508
- Perform automation change controls with guidance from Automation Lead to ensure that changes are raised and closed on time following the required quality standards. Manages Project Schedule to ensure that manufacturing is not impacted.
- Maximizes production capacity through timely completion of planned maintenance activities and effectively resolving unplanned downtime and events
- Participates in HAZOP / LOPA reviews as SME and completes action items as required
- Develops Automation SOPs, Job Aids and procedures.
- Leads and applies effective root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques to support resolution of incidents, events, deviations, atypical investigations and fault reports related to Automation and ensures all the resolution are effectively implemented within the agreed time frame to prevent recurrence.
- Supports a continuous improvement framework within Automation and the IPT and works with Leads to identify and implement improvements.
- Support Automation Projects
- Any other activities required by managers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Science or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in automation engineering within manufacturing or oil & gas industry
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Yokogawa ProSafe and DCS
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working on Safety Instrumented Systems capital projects.
- TUV Functional Safety Engineer Certification
