Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical groups, both internal and external (App owner, developers, Appian team)
- Platform Management (OS, VM, Diskspace, CPUs related resources etc.)
- Ability to identify, resolve and recommend solutions to problems.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Appian platform, ensuring it is operational and performing efficiently.
- Coordination between Customer SMEs and Appian to get required access
Install, Configure and Managing the organization’s APPIAN BPM- related application and manage deployments, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support activities. - Stay current with Appian updates, patches, and releases, and plan and execute upgrades when necessary.
- Application Server (i.e. JBoss or WebLogic) downloaded from respective licensed Site
- Web Server downloaded from Web Server site (if required).
- Web Server installation & configuration (if required).
- Appian downloaded from Appian communityTemporary license download from Appian community
- In addition, all the required s/w packages (jdk, DB) can be downloaded from the authenticated sources.
- Appian and Application server installation & configuration
- Installation of the required database as per the Appian compatibility
- Integration of the Appian and Application server and Data base server
- Platform(Appian) Health check
- Monitor the performance of system components and transactions.
- Monitor business process execution and data associated with those processes.
- User Access Management
Logs Management
- Management of integrations with other systems like integrations with LDAP for access authentication
- Work on the tickets (service request) with respect to platform
- Environment (Appian instance, Application Server JVM) Restart/stop/start
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address platform issues
- Research and resolve assigned incidents/requests related to Appian environments.
- Involvement in Change/Configuration management related to Appian environments changes.
- Implement data backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss or system failures.
