Purpose of the role
Enhance Regional Governance and Asia strategy through;1) ensuring HO functions to be mindfull and aware of actualities of branches, 2) planning new initiatives for execute Asia strategy and enhance gavernance framework in APAC, 3) navigating various parties to give shapes to their initiatives and promote/implement their functions and goals, 4) monitoring functionalities of existing frameworks and improving them as necessary
Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure/support implementation of the Bank’s global/regional initiatives/projects associated with each BU/CC, Tokyo HQ and MUFG groupe entities, and/or facilities in APAC branches
- Monitor Branch/fanctions financials and support improvement
- Closely monitor COOI expenses of Branches in charge and proactively support them to achieve the expense target. Closely monitor net profit of Branches in charge and ensure they’re profitable. Support them in establishing a robust platform that can be profitable in any stressed situation.)
- As BU/CC/Branch liaison: Understand and support Branches comprehensively and deeply to solve their management issues in terms of responding to/enhancing 1) Regulatory affairs, 2) Internal Audit, 3) Governance, 4) Human Capital, 5) IT/Ops and 6) BS management
- Co-work with Branch members and Regional HQ not only in COOI area but in other areas to train them and lift the standards.
- To contribute for further improvement of engagement and talent development for entire POA
- Ensure the Bank’s operation/activites in the face/midst of BCP
- Adherence to compliance
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking and Strategic Planning within the banking industry
- Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, a degree from a Japanese university or equivalent required to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC on strategic planning activities
- Experience in leading projects
- Good communication skills, analytical ability and logical thinking
