Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive HSE culture by advising on and supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, slings, cables, shackles, vehicles, and emergency systems to ensure compliance and functionality.
- Analyze and monitor Preventive Action Reports (RAP) to address safety concerns effectively.
- Ensure that the ART (Activity Risk Assessment) is properly prepared and suitable for the work being conducted.
- Provide guidance to management on ensuring compliance of offices, workshops, facilities, and operations with company policies and legal requirements.
- Advise line management and supervisors on HSE-related matters and best practices.
- Support the HSE department with administrative systems and processes.
- Serve as the liaison with relevant authorities on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Investigate incidents, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with supervisors, line managers, and external agencies on OH&S training content and deliver training as required.
- Assess the effectiveness of in-house HSE training programs and recommend improvements.
- Maintain and update databases and consultation documents related to the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Conduct internal audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with OH&S policies, risk assessments, and work procedures. Participate in client, company, and external audits as needed.
- Gather and document evidence to close out actions from investigation reports, CPARs, and ISO audits.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma and above in an Engineering / HSE or related field.
- Must be registered as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM.
- Certifications in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are preferred.
