The A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (A*STAR IHDP) focuses on research that aims to improve and impact the health and well-being of Singaporeans across the life course. A*STAR Institute for Human Development and Potential (IHDP) is currently looking for an ambitious Research Officer to work on projects investigating obesogenic behaviours in early childhood.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide research and administrative support to new and ongoing studies and will:
- Analyse and present quantitative data from longitudinal cohorts
- Lead systematic and scoping reviews
- Lead data collection, management, analysis and day-to-day administration of new research projects
- Contribute to research publications, book chapters and reviews
- Contribute to the design of research materials
- Represent the research group at external meetings, either with other members of the group or alone
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in the relevant disciplines (e.g. Psychology, Behavioral Science, Nutrition)
- Keen interest in the area of child development
- Proficient in the use of statistic software such as SPSS, R or others
- Experience with systematic and/or scoping reviews
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiastic demeanor
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience within an academic or healthcare setting is advantageous
- Experience of contributing to research publications is advantageous
