Duties of a System Engineer:
· Ensuring on-time software delivery to clients
· Overseeing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
· Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
· Generating reports as requested
· Proactively maintaining optimal system and infrastructure availability
· Traveling onsite for troubleshooting when necessary
· Implementing and managing security, backup, and redundancy strategies
· Collaborating with vendors and IT teams to resolve technical issues
· Managing compliance and vulnerability reports for infrastructure, including servers and workstations
· Coordinating compliance and vulnerability reports to support remediation efforts
· Submitting, extending, and managing change requests and exemptions for vulnerabilities
· Obtaining customer approvals for change requests
· Addressing customer inquiries related to change requests
· Compiling flagged items from vulnerability management system (VMS) scans
· Consulting manufacturers and resources for available solutions
· Delivering project enhancements and solutions
· Resolving incidents within the specified service level agreements (SLA)
Skillset keywords:
· Patch Management tools – Bigfix / SCCM
· Wintel Servers and AD administration
· HyperV virtualization
· MS SQL Server administration
· Security compliance
· Backup and Restore
