- Handle regular preventive maintenance on the SD-WAN Platform Operations.
- Support the expansion, upgrades and roll-outs of new network and systems infrastructure involving hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, virtual appliances, VNFs, network monitoring and management systems.
- Support engineering teams on new product/ feature implementation, node deployment, and technical support matters.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and timely resolution of faults/issues within the SD-WAN platforms services.
- Analyse SD-WAN platforms performance and take proactive actions and preventive measures to monitor and enhance the network performance including software and hardware upgrades, etc.
- Prepare statistical reports on network and equipment performance.
- Analysing financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
- Presenting annual budgets to management.
- Vendor negotiation and preparation of cost analysis and justifications.
- Perform SD-WAN platforms performance analysis.
- Proactively engages Engineering teams and recommend courses of actions to prevent incidents that may be caused by performance issues.
- Archive prepared reports for future reference of job performance.
- Review financial documents in preparation for the next cycle.
- Negotiation with vendors has led to expenditures within budget and maximized value.
- Audits and reviews of the SD-WAN Platforms in parts or as a whole to keep in terms of the environment landscape.
Skills for Success:
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems
- Possess expertise with routers and switches installation e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Mellanox, Dell SONiC.
- Hands on experience with Cisco SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN, HPE Aruba SilverPeak SD-WAN, Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiSASE etc.
- Good understanding of Internet routing protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS/VPN.
- Knowledge of routers/switches architecture and software upgrade procedure.
- Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in technical fault isolation and rectification
- Knowledge of hypervisors such as eSXI, Adva, proxmox and KVM.
- Able to document and investigate existing infrastructure for the benefit of maintaining and operating the environment, discovering possible security breaches or vulnerabilities or finding opportunities for improvement for optimal network performance.
- Manage principal vendors, providers, internal and external stakeholders.
- Write and implement policies, guidelines, and SOPs for managing the infrastructure.
- Good to have Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS)
