A Scientist position is available at the Hair & Pigmentation Development Laboratory within A*STAR Skin Research Labs, a partner in the Skin Research Institute of Singapore. This candidate will become part of our research group to elucidate mechanisms regulating hair morphogenesis, growth and regeneration. This project will take up 100% of his/her time. The research fellow will lead the project and oversee a team composed of a research officer and a student.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cell culture of primary skin cells
- 2D and 3D co-culture models of hair follicle cell
- Prospective isolation of human and mouse hair follicle cells
- Whole and spatial transcriptome analysis
- Hair induction mouse models
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Life Sciences or equivalent
- Advanced cell culture and molecular techniques
- Experienced with 2D and 3D skin organotypic assays
- Experienced with mouse in-vivo models
- Experienced with RNA, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analyses
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Highly motivated, passionate about science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours, as required by experimental planning
