Job Description:

  • Oversee International Trade Transactions: Manage the end-to-end execution of international trade transactions, ensuring compliance with trade agreements, regulations, and company policies.
  • Trade Documentation Management: Prepare and ensure accuracy of essential trade documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and letters of credit, in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate shipping and logistics activities, collaborating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate risks in trade operations, including currency fluctuations, geopolitical factors, and transportation challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Letter of Credit Management: Manage the letter of credit process, ensuring that trade transactions are settled on time and in accordance with terms.
  • Supplier and Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in the trade process.
  • Compliance Management: Stay updated on international trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements, ensuring all activities adhere to applicable laws and standards.
  • Incoterms Management: Negotiate and define Incoterms for each trade transaction to clarify responsibilities and terms of delivery between buyers and sellers.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality control process to ensure that goods meet the required standards and align with customer expectations.
  • Communication Facilitation: Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between internal teams and external partners involved in trade operations. Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the process, including disputes, delays, and quality concerns.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in international trade or logistics are a plus.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in international trade operations, logistics, or a related field. Experience with trade finance instruments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Trade Regulations: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, documentation processes, logistics operations, and risk management strategies.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision in handling trade documentation and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to evolving market conditions, regulatory changes, and business requirements. Proficiency in technology and software used in trade operations.
